[Android, iOS] I have no knowledge about headphones or any audio electronics. I just need a decent wired in-ear headphones for listening to classical music. Wired because it's annoying and inconvenient having to charge it when I need to use it at the moment. In-ear because I wear eyeglasses and all the over-ear headphones cause extreme discomfort. And I am sick of those cheaply made earbuds online. I never even heard of IEM until this purchase, and I am glad I bought this. I listen to orchestra symphony a lot, also pieces by single instrument. I could tell all sounds collectively and individually well, imagine I am in the audience inside the concert hall and I can shift my attention anytime to the oboes, French horns, cellos...etc. I can feel like I sit next to the grand piano that is played on stage now. I almost cried the first time I put this on to listen to the classical music recordings on YouTube. Sorry for not being to offer any professional and technical analysis on this product. This is all I could say about how happy I am. well worth the money.

[0.345 lb] I've had my Sony MDR-7506 headphones for ten years or so, and the original ear-pieces flaked off a couple of years in. Not sure why I waited so long to replace them. I've seen some complaints about these being too small, and while they certainly are smaller than the OEM earpads, they're plenty comfortable for me and I had no trouble getting them on the headphones. These are my go-to monitoring and mixing headphones, and they're much more comfortable and effective with this purchase.

[20 lb] These are now the gold standard for over the ear ANC headphones. Forget Sony & Bose, IF you own apple products.

[Black] I go through a set of ear pads every year or two on my Sony MDRv-6 headphones. I thought the velour wouldn't be as sticky and hot in the summer. The pads fit the cans well and don't seem to affect the sonic quality. They're also comfortable. I'd buy them again. If this was for work at the studio (sharing) I'd stick with the faux leather for sanitary reasons.

[AAC, LDAC, SBC] I love these headphones. As stated in the title, I replaced my Shure SE215 in-ear monitors with these. I used Shure IEM's for traveling because of the high sound isolation provided by the triple flange ear tips. I decided to go a different direction with these because all my other headphones are Sony and I've always preferred the sound of Sony. I use Sony IEMs and Sony over-ear headphones for producing, mixing, and mastering music to give you an idea of my sound preference and experience with critical listening. The noise cancellation in the WI-1000XM2 is very comparable to the sound isolation of the Shure's. I would say with the proper fit, the noise cancellation is better, unquestionably in the low frequencies. The sound of the WI-1000XM2 is excellent. Slightly bright but not overbearing and certainly not lacking in bass. Detailed, clear, and balanced. I've already used them for traveling and love them, especially on planes. This is my first neckband headphone and it doesn't bother me. I might even say I prefer it as they can remain around my neck without constant stowing. Also, the cords to the earpieces are short won't tangle :) The build quality is excellent. I highly recommend them!

[2" / 50 mm] Now that my whole family is working at home with me, I've had to mix in headphones more than I'd prefer. I've never had to be dependent on headphones for a mix the way I am now, and so was previously mixing on Sony 7506 headphones. As DJ headphones, the Sony's are great, but for mixing, it was frustrating to say the least! Getting these room some adjustment at first, reminding my brain what flat sound should sound like in headphones. Once I got used to them, I was able to trust them and use my instincts in my mixes in the same way as my near field monitors. Previous reviews praised how comfortable they are, and they ain't lying! I can wear these for hours and don't get all sweaty, or feel that pinch pain in the upper ear. I was also surprised in the low end response. At first, it seemed boomy, especially previously mixing on the Sony's. As my ears adjusted, I was really impressed with the low end clarity and how true they were. I mix a lot of boom bap style hip hop and electronic music with heavy low end, and these thing reproduce that sub sound nicely. Someone mentioned the mid range on these isn't quite as punchy. That's true, but you learn to adjust quickly, and without ear fatigue, you can get a feel for them quick. I was happily surprised to see extra cables and replacement pads! It might have said they come with those things in the description, but I didn't see it. So I was stoked when I saw that stuff in the package. While the price point is kind of up there, having used them for a while now, and realizing how they allow me to mix so efficiently, I feel it's worth it.

[64 Ohms] This is one of the best headphones I have ever had the pleasure of owning. The refined sound signature is something that really agrees with my listening preference, practically no listening fatigue with them at all. At the same time, it's very involving with a wide and tall soundstage, rich textural mids and vocals and great bass and sub-bass extension, when called for. Perfect for any music genre really. The design and comfort is absolutely top notch as well. Note, if you prefer headphones with very strong highs/treble, these are not for you. The treble is accurate, yet laid back compared to other headphones which seem to need to shoot the treble in to your ears in the guise of being 'high resolution'. Sony really stepped it up in all respects with their Z1R headphones. They're made in an in-house artisan department within Sony as well, not mass produced.
