[0.2 lb] This is my novice entrance into photography. From what I can tell the camera is great for a beginner. It came highly recommended by friends that are professional photographers. Everything is easy to get to and is pretty light. This body will last me a good while and I look forward to see in it produces everytime I pick it up.

[21.3 x 18 x 7"] Trip #1 was a week-long trip in Germany, not necessarily a professional trip, I had my 5-year old twins, wife and mother-in-law with me. Not to mention, I was the ‘travel guide’ so I took minimal photography gear. Trip #2 was an overnight business trip to Chi-town, that called for a couple lenses and camera body. Both trips I brought my massive 17inch computer and I wanted something compact. This is a tall order for that size of laptop, camera and multiple lenses. Oh, and I wanted my stuff to feel safe :-) The SHAPE SHIFTER 17 V2.0 was a perfect solution. I was surprise how far it zipped down while containing everything! Feel confident on a more photography focused trip it would have been stellar! This is my third ThinkTank bag. I have two other professional bas from other companies and I would recommend ThinkTank ALL … DAY.. LONG!

[Bulb Mode] Photography is a hobby for me and I needed a better camera for an upcoming trip. This camera was recommended by several professional photographers-some who use this camera exclusively. I'm still learning, but I am so impressed with the quality of pictures and ease of use. The bundle was helpful-I had everything I needed to get started right away.

[Bulb Mode] Excellent camera, if you are an amateur, enthusiast or professional in photography, it will not disappoint you, it is designed for the most demanding. Which is what I like the most: its design, light weight, excellent autofocus, professional video options, great user interface and not having to carry heavy equipment. Being micro four thirds, the weight and volume of the camera and optics are considerably less. And the costs, needless to say, cheaper than full frame and APS-C. Panasonic hit the mark.

[Yes] I am a professional videographer and I bought this camera as a present for my wife who wanted to learn photography. It is 14mp, fully auto or fully manual operations. Great zoom lens. I ended up using to shoot the cover photo for our local phone book and pictures included in the Yosemite Visitors Guide. Looks as good as a $2,000 camera if you know what you're doing. My wife is learning.

[7.4 VDC] As a professional having owned the best of Canon, Nikon, Fuji and Olympus this has thus far been a very refreshing and fulfilling experience with the S1. First of all it is built to the very highest standards and weighs accordingly. This is NOT a camera for those looking for a small lightweight mirrorless camera. This is a camera for those looking for professional results and a build quality that assures many years of use in the field or the studio. It has by far the most customizability of any camera Ive ran into. Ergonomically its clear this was designed for the human hands, not just as an afterthought. The single focus speed is lightning quick and accurate, so ideal for a portrait or landscape photographer. I havent yet put it through its paces regarding tracking fast moving subjects, but I suspect this wont quite be in the Sony league regarding that. Every tool has its strengths and weaknesses and ones choice must be based on THAT tool meeting their particular needs. The color science on this camera is without a doubt the ONLY one Ive ever used that easily competes with Canon. Sharpness and Detail with this sensor is as good as it gets. The EVF will truly impress as its the FIRST I can honestly say would cause one to give up their OVF. NO lag, unreal accurate portrayal of the scene and sharpness that makes manual focus instant and accurate. Ive never experienced that before. The optics with even the 24-105 so called kit lens is beyond the competition and Ive used the Canon and Sony so thats where Im coming from. My 24-105 is sharp from one end to the other at all corners so quite an achievement. I had not considered Panasonic as a real player in this field until now. Glad this didnt disappoint.
