[Download] We purchased this mixer to use specifically for community circus performances. The per-channel, 1-knob compression, per-channel EQ, ability to choose between pre/post Aux send and main EQ made this the perfect choice. Yes, I read the manual, watched the various online videos and bought the recommended Ultra SDHC card. These tasks addressed all of the complaints I heard about this mixer. It fits nicely inside of a 19 rack (with room to spare). And, the recordings sound great! Our sound is incredibly dynamic, so I added a compressor on the mains. That's it - Then, straight into the speakers.

[2.57 lb] This is a great mixer, it makes anything sound better without almost any tweak, I tested it with my two Bose S1 Pro speakers, and it sounds amazing, also I tried it with other "bad sounding" Harbinger speakers that were sounded very bad with the harbinger mixer, and it makes a huge difference, it makes the sound shine impressively, every person in the gig was impressed of the good sound it can produce. Also, it helped me a lot by improving my installation/ setup time using the scenes feature. Missing features would be: 1) to include a Bluetooth channel as the S1 Pro integrated mixer, 2) to be able to recall volume of every channel when saving the scenes. 3) add the xlr/ plug option for the auxiliary inputs 4) allow the user to specify to what channel phantom power will be applied.

A friend of mine with extensive experience in the recording industry recommended the Mackie VLZ4 series for their build quality and design for live recording as opposed to studio recording (previous mixer was for studio recording). I went with the 32-channel model so that I could have everything plugged in at the same time: the 16-channel snake that runs to front of house, 4 wireless mics, 4 ceiling mics, and 2 computers. We have 4 mono channels leftover for future growth. I love that this board has everything I need (post-fader aux sends, EQ, compressors) and very little of what I don't need (FX). The sound quality is fantastic - very rich and warm natural sound. Many people commented to me about how big the thing is, but we had the space for it and the 24-channel model wasn't big enough for my needs.

[1x IEC] I purchased this mixer for our church 6 months ago from B&H. We had been using an old Allen & Heath GLD analog board. As soon as we plugged it in, before even doing any configuration, we immediately were amazed at the clean, pure sound. Learning the interface is pretty straightforward, and once you start saving your scenes it is a breeze. Our musicians love having the QU app on their phones and adjusting their monitors on the fly. We also have an assistant sound man who uses the QU-Pad app to make tweaks while moving around the sanctuary. The built in reverb, double tracking, and delay effects are all excellent. The onboard per channel compression, parametric EQ, and gate make it easy to dial in the sound, and you can save your channel presets.

[Phantom Power] I have a YouTube Channel and I have previously only used a lav mic. While the quality is okay, it's a big hassle when I move away from the set--always getting hooked on things, and one time I actually yanked the cord and broke one. I looked at a ton of videos on camera-mounted cameras and was not impressed with the sound. Many of them are the same price or more as this one. The big difference is you need XLR to use this. As I am a musician, I have a mixer and that's not a problem. It was no big deal to mount this on a boom above me and plug into my mixer. The sound is great and I don't have to worry about being hooked up to the lav. If I ever need to go out and record, I'll either use my lav mic or get something like the Saramonic amp to power this. I felt comfortable ordering this because my main mic for recording music is Audio-Technica. I trusted the brand. The sound is excellent, it just includes a bit of room noise that I didn't get with the lav. A noise gate in post takes care of that easily.

[Power, Coiled] I used it on an M4 four channel mixer and it worked like a charm.
