[0.185 lb] I never thought I'd spend $50 for a card reader, but I finally got fed up with the cheapo plastic things I had laying around. They either transferred slowly, didn't work at all, or fell apart. What's more, the microSD-to-SD card adapters represented another point of failure. This model has a high it just works factor, and operated flawlessly with the included USB-C cable and the USB-A to USB-C cable that came with my phone. It seems to support the faster data transfer rates of higher quality cards. I also connected the device to my USB-C equipped Android phone, and was able to mount a card as an external USB drive without the need of an on-the-go (OTG) adapter. 5 |
