Star Tracker Camera Mount

[0.045 lb] I was looking for a way to connect my Nikon D7200 to my star tracker (Star Adventurer GTI) for astrophotography shots. This is the perfect solution. It is the right length and completes my set up. I appreciate that B& H Photo provide compatibility information for their products. It made finding this easy.

[5 VDC] I had another brand of star tracker that my toddler got her hands on so this was its replacement. The polar alignment camera with this setup is amazing. All my subs are spot on from one to another which I had difficulty attaining with the alignment scope my other tracker had for polar alignment. I'm using a DSLR and a 135mm lens. Pros: Small size for easy transport. Polar camera makes polar alignment very accurate and easy. Tracks like you would expect it to. Built in chargeable battery. Cons: No way to control camera shutter without an additional hand controller which is sold separately. You'll need an intervalometer if your camera can't do multiple long exposures by itself.

[2.43 oz / 69 g] I saw this recommended to fit between my Move Shoot Move star tracker and the ballhead under my camera body. It solves the problem of the ballhead directly on the MSM coming loose as it rotates throughout the evening. I use the set screws on the undreside of the QS-50 to get a tighter connection on the MSM. So far I have been using it to do longer sub frames and for up to two hours without any problems.

[0.045 lb] I love the Slik ECH-630 compact star tracker because you can take it anywhere and it fits in my camera bags perfectly and does not take up a lot of space like my other larger trackers. The quality of the product is excellent and is solidly built. I have used this for multiple time-lapse and milky way shots even during the last solar eclipse. one of the best features is being able to connect an external USB battery pack and it gives you days instead of just 20 hours. The only issue I have with this star tracker is the alignment using just the 2 visual ports on the device but I have a solution for that and purchased a green bore laser and can now polar align perfectly. I highly recommend this and also the SLIK SMH-250.

[Carbon Fiber] This tripod is strong and light. It's sturdy enough for me to use with a star tracker. Very happy with it.

[22 lb /10 kg] I use this on my star tracker to allow panos. It is light weight and very secure. I have used other that are now in the trash. This one is a keeper!
