Startech Hdd Docking Station

[Plastic] This is another great docking station from Startech.com. Solid build and great ports, including an SD card reader that I really love. This dock worked perfectly for my Windows-based notebook, after installing all the necessary drivers. The issues came up while testing with a Macbook Pro, but I don’t entirely hold the Dock to blame. The issue came from the MacOS version; I upgraded to the very latest version and the chipset isn’t fully supported. Look at the website (support tab) and heed readme files and driver information bulletins, if you are the sort to not jump at the latest updates, you might not have any issues. I fully believe this is a temporary situation and will be solved in short order. This is a solid docking station with a 60 watt power supply, something I think is essential in a one-cable docking solution. Video output is excellent on both HDMI and DP.
