[Brass] This is a linear polarizer. It is cheaper than circular polarizers, and it was bought as an experiment, to determine whether I can get away without a circular polarizer, using a mirrorless camera(Olympus EM-1).It works very well, both optically and mechanically. The threading fits precisely, easy to take off. The turning mechanism is not loose and not too tight.

[5.6 x 4 x 1.7"] I bought this matte box to be used with a minimalist rig I set up: a small mirrorless camera, zoom 16-35 on a Speedboster, microphone and a cage. Didn't want a box with flags, and that was another reason to choose this model. Considering the relatively low price, I didn't set my expectations too high. Well... What a surprise: I got a well thought, designed and built matte box. The two trays, one fixed and one rotating (the one closer to the front lens) allow the use of a polarizer and ND at the same time, or color correction filter and polarizer, or whatever the need is for a specific situation. The design of the box doubles a a lens shade, which so far as proved very efficient and accomodating wide-angle lenses. My 16-35 on this camera is equivalent to a 22-50, and it is well protected from stray lights or flare from side lighting. I also got step-up rings made by the same brand to accomodate 3 other lenses. They are relatively cheap, and with an external diameter of 83mm to clamp the matte box tightly. If flags are needed, there are threaded holes to mount them. I use glass filters of the same brand, which have the right thickness for the tray. Synthetic/polymer filter may be too thin to fit without 'curving'.

[6 x 6 x 1.3"] I use this polarizer for outdoor landscape cinematography. When shopping for polarizers, many are quite expensive. This one was a fraction the cost of some competing filters, but very affordable. It's also one of the few polarizers on the market that will fit into a 3mm thick carrier tray, such as the one on my dp 3000 matte box. The filter is effective and has minimal image degradation. I cannot say that I see a visible decrease in image quality with the filter in place. The results are quite interesting, with blue skies deepened in color to the point where they appear as only a fighter pilot at 60,000 feet altitude would see them. They effectively eliminate haze. The filter is also effective at eliminating reflections off windows, allowing the camera to see in. For example, if the camera is mounted on the bonnet of an automobile to shoot the front seat occupants, rotating the filter a bit will make a clean windshield appear invisible. For my type of shooting, it gets the job done with no major compromises.

[0.09 lb] The B & W MRC-Nano polarizer filter is a very recent addition to my DSLR camera equipment collection. I was able to attach it easily and I saw a noticeable difference in my photos as I spun the lens around. Other than that, it is too new for me to provide a more comprehensive review.

[Dedicated] I have been trying to figure out a way to protect my Sony mirrorless camera sensor from dust and particles.   My biggest concern with mirrorless cameras is how quickly the camera sensor can get dirty.   These KASE filters have solved that problem.  By using a UV or ND filter that fits directly, and safely, in front of the sensor.  These filters protect the camera sensor from outside exposure when switching lenses.  This comes with a carrying case that can hold two additional filters, 3 ND filters, 1 UV filter, cleaning cloth, a guitar pick to remove the filter, finger rubber gloves, & instructions. Pros: 1. No need to add an ND filter for different sizes of lenses 2. Protects the camera sensor from dust and moisture 3. Comes with 3 different ND filters for your specific scenario 4. Includes a soft frame pad that sits nicely below the filter for prolonged use 5. Very easy to remove or install 6. No overheating issues or problems when using the entire day 7. Excellent video and image quality Cons: It doesn't have a snug fit in the Sony a7sIII.  If you remove your lens and your camera body is tilting forward, it can easily fall out.  The instructional video shows that these filters clip-in.  However, I believe the dimensions are slightly larger for the a7sIII.  So to be safe, you will want to remove your camera lenses with the body facing up.   All in all, this is an excellent innovative product!

[Glass] Every lens needs a UV filter for protection. To also get the polarizer for little more is worth it.
