[Analog] I used this for audio, to replace a lost stereo microphone cable. It is super robust and great quality construction. and much cheaper than buying one from the microphone manufacturer.

[Black] I bought this 5 pin-F to two 3 pin-M XLR connectors to connect an Azden SMX-1000 stereo microphone to a Canon XA-10 camcorder. This cable by Lewitt was half the price of the other such cables available. I gave it a try and it works just fine. Originally the cable is to be used with a dual capsule microphone for drums. Instead of 1/2 or L/R, the two 3-pin ends are green and white colored. Plugging the green labeled cable into the no1 XLR connector of the camcorder and the white labeled into the no 2 XLR connector, provided correct stereo (i.e. left is left and right is right). I also plugged the cable into the two XLR connectors of my Mackie 402 mixer, and again, it worked fine. Built quality is also good.

[0.075 lb] It is difficult to find stereo lavalier microphone and I am really glad Sony did it. At this price point, I found the sound is surprisingly good. I connect them to Zoom H6 with a stereo plug-in power injector. It comes with foam to reduce wind noise. But in my work, I need a hairy windjammer. So, I sewed two Rycote Lavalier Windjammer together and attached to Sony ECM-LV1. It works perfectly. As this microphone requires plug-in power, you probably need to connect it directly to a camera, or a plug-in power injector with stereo support. I found it is quite difficult to find a good quality PIP injector which support stereo sound. Since this is a stereo microphone, if the microphone is not positioned correctly, its stereo image could be difficult to postprocess. But this is not a unique problem to Sony ECM-LV1. It is true for all stereo lavalier microphone. The clip is rotatable (snaps at 0, 90, 180, and 270 degree). But is a bit on the loose side, plasticky, and it cannot be removed. Overall, given this price point, I really like the sound quality of the microphone. It beat many microphones with similar price range.
