[5/8"-27 Male] I needed a boom arm but not the stand to hold it, so this was perfect. It's substantial enough that I can trust it to hold the microphone, and it telescopes smoothly.

[None] I walked into the store to purchase a cheap boom arm for another band mates microphone stand. The store associate steered me away from the cheaper option to this one, which was less than $10 more. Although I'm happy with the boom arm form my mic stand, I was a little jealous of this one once I checked it out. It's great quality for just a little more money. I will by buying K&M again.

[None] I bought the Deluxe Extended Two-Joint Mic Arm for use in my new voiceover booth. Space is tight, so I knew I didn't want to have a typical stand taking up precious real estate. Using this boom-arm and the matching wall mount made short work of getting my booth up and running. With the dual-jointed arm, and extra long segments, the microphone can be positioned from very low to very high, without having to fiddle around with mic-stand clutches or standard boom arm adjustments. All it takes is a simple push or pull and the mic is positioned exactly where it's needed. The springs do make a slight rumbling sound which is picked up by my microphone, even though it's mounted on a shockmount. But, I will add some split vinyl hose pieces over the springs to dampen the vibration. Typically done in radio stations across the nation where this is a problem. [1.125 lb] The shock mount connect better with the Samson Microphone Boom Arm than the adapter they include with the microphone. You have to remove the inner adapter and this connects to the boom arm. Very solid, and reduces noice when you move the arm or bump the desk.

[Black] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a streamer means you have to have the proper equipment so your followers can hear you. I do alot of online game streaming which means they don't see me and only my screen but can hear everything I say. I use this zoom microphone boom to hold my microphone right in front of me but to the side so I can still see my monitors. This helps me alot while streaming because it's out of my way of my mouse and keyboard and monitors. The boom attaches onto the side of the desk and can be unattached and moved as much as you would like. I have left mine attached in the same spot and just have extended the boom forward when needed and pushed it back when I was don't with it. It's great quality and has been a big improvement for my online streaming experience.

[Round] First, there is no description for this on the B&H catalog, so let me fill in a couple of things that were not obvious from the web-site. - The stand I received INCLUDES a sandbag (empty) to counterbalance the boom arm...or stabilize the base. - The boom arm will fit into the stand vertically to create a taller single-pole light stand.  It works much like a tripod with a boom-style center column.  Very Cool!  And makes for a more versatile stand.  If I dont need the boom it becomes part of the stand...rather than tyring to figure where to store it. - There is no carry bag included. - Nicely designed clamps for the legs that use a compression clamp to apply force, rather than just the screw tightening against the pole. I bought this based on prior experience with Phottix products...and was not disappointed!  I use this as a medium weight C-Stand that stores and transports easier than a typical C-stand.   I work with speedlights and smaller softboxes, and this stand works fantastic with those!
