[80%] I recently upgraded my studio with a 16-in/16/out audio interface, but with no headphone jack and no monitor control. This little box solved my monitor control issue perfectly. Extremely transparent to my ears, very solid build, all the controls have a nice feel to them, and great looks. The wood sides are more of a walnut color than what's shown on the website, which was perfect. Highly recommended.

[4.08 lb] The HAUC Active Stereo Headphone Control Box by Whirlwind fits the bill perfectly for studio headphone control. Easily mounted under the desk, it is a solid piece of gear. In my studio, I have several headphone locations branching off a multi-headphone amp. Using the HAUC, i am able to give each user a choice of 3.5 mm and 1/4 jacks, and full volume control. Installation was a breeze with four screws. At my news-talk table, I have daisy-chained three thanks to the dual jacks in the back, and each still has its own volume control. Well worth the money and highly-recommended.

[Closed-Back] Purchased these as a second pair of headphone for the studio. They are. good for the price.

[Closed-Back] Perfect for my studio needs. I have others, but these are a great addition for a lower end headphone with a high quality sound for the $.

[≥ 98 dB ] We're a voice-over studio and it helps to have a clean headphone feed...and this little amp shines. It was a rocky start as the first one arrived with no left channel and a terrible hum. A call to B&H and a replacement arrived quickly. The second one is low-noise, has plenty of power, and the price is right.

I purchased this headphone amplifier for my recording studio use. I used Personus HP60 and Behringer HA8000. Both supplied insufficient power to the headphones when musicians play their instruments. This ART amplifier drives Beyerdynamic DT-880-pro-250 well. Knob layouts are well thought and the amplifier can be tweaked without requiring too much attentions. The circuit diagram, which is printed on the top of the unit, gives a great help.

[44 dB] I selected this headphone amplifier for my home studio after comparing many alternatives for one primary reason: Discrete, balanced inputs for all signals. Even though my snake from control room to studio is only 50 feet, it is enough to pick up line frequency hum for units with unbalanced inputs. The Tascam MH-8 has individual, Left/Right balanced inputs for 2 shared and 8 individual channel inputs which gives enormous flexibility on the back-side patch panel. Having 8 output channels is also an advantage vs the more typical 6 since most computer interfaces and mixers have groups of 8 channels for more of me use. The sound quality is very good, clean and dominated by the quality of the headphones used. I'll be picking up a 2'nd unit, chaining the 2 common inputs, and adding 8 more discrete inputs. I'm very satisfied with this unit.

We're using this in a small audio studio where students prefer to have their multiple radio hosts all crowded in the control room. This gives them individually controlled headphone feeds, and frees up the board's headphone jack, with talkback, to feed the studio space's headphone jacks. Very user friendly for the announcers while giving me the connections and quality I need.
