Surfboard Extreme Wireless Cable Modem & Gigabit Router

[Black] I got this to replace an ARRIS SURFboard SB6183. Comcast increased my internet speed and advised me to upgrade my modem. This is modem is excellent. Installing on Comcast was horrid. I couldn't get a human on the phone to give them the new MAC address. I have a Linksys EA8300 router. I had to reset the router to get it to work with the modem - bug ugh.

[3.075 lb] I upgraded from an older, slower SURFboard cable modem, so just had to swap out the modem. Before doing so, I went to the Arris website and downloaded the do-it-yourself process to register the new modem with the cable company (Xfinity in my case) from my house, so no need to go to their store to give them the modem serial numbers. Worked like a charm and in ten minutes was up and running at faster speeds.

[802.11ax] I recently had my internet provider to increase my speed (from 150mbps download to 330mbps). It turned out that my old Wi-Fi card that I had on my PC couldn't quite handle the speed even though it was rated that it can. I bought this card out of curiosity just to see if it was the PC that was causing the bottleneck and not the card. Once I installed it, the download transfer rate just about doubled compared to the old card. In fact, the speed is about the same I'm getting if I had the network cable connected directly from the modem to the PC Ethernet port itself. Anyway, I would advise anyone to first check their wireless router or wireless modem/router to see what Wi-Fi standard it uses. If you still using an old modem/router, this card will only go as fast as that set up allows it to.

[4] The router is easy to set up and link to internet modem. Wireless logon from computers, laptops, phones and even tvs is quick and painless.

[250 MHz] I'm using this short CAT6 cable to patch my router and switch together. It is delivering a gigabit connection and seems to be of good quality. I also like the color options as it makes it easier to follow connections.

[Yes] Setup was very easy once the router and modem communicated.

[8 MB] Small enough to fit into my IT cabinet and power my cable modem, router, and 16 port switch. I now have a one-stop device that can provide UPS for all of my key devices. Highly recommend!

[256 MB ] I am delighted with this purchase. The router was incredibly fast to set up. I was replacing my old router hooked to my cable modem and it was literally just a matter of changing out the cables, shutting off the modem and then booting things back up. The provided instructions are quite quick and easy to follow. The router is much faster than my previous one, especially several rooms away.

[256 MB] I wanted an inexpensive non-WiFi router to terminate my cable modem's Internet output. This is a nicely-constructed, small device that is working great for me. Initially, I had a problem with the router establishing a connection with my Internet provider's network, but TP-Link's support was immediately available and was very good in helping me resolve it.

[120 VAC, 60 Hz] It's nice to have 1 system to run internet instead of separate cable modem and router. Setup was easy to follow, and app assisted in the process.
