Competitive ones are not rated to last as long or be as bright.They can be hard to find, locally, and are often expensive. B&H has them at a good price and good service. With any halogen bulb, keep your fingers off the glass. If you do touch it, clean with alcohol and KEEP YOUR FINGERS OFF THE GLASS.

[1000 W] I have been using GE, Ostam and Sylvania brands for years now and always, it seemed, overpayed for them. Here comes Impact. Quality bulbs at quantity pricing.

[2300 (at 3000K)] I usually buy Ushio or Sylvania. Without gear to analyse color temp and light output, I can't visually tell one from the other. It does last well above the hours stated on the box. The CRI does seem to be better than LED panels.
