Synology Solid State Drives

[200 TB] I've always found Western Digital products to be trustworthy, from old school mechanical drives to solid state, and this SSD is no exception. Great capacity and good performance at this price point, all from a known, quality manufacturer.

[1500 G / 0.5 ms] The Sandisk Ultra SSD's have been my first choice for solid state drives. Great performance and at a competitive price. I've done a lot of upgrades for people and have had zero issues with these.

[Black / Silver] Synology NAS devices are solid and configured correctly with m.2 cache drives and at least 7200 rpm NAS drives they run like a jet when used as a backup device or network share. You can even back them up to the Amazon's AWS backup cloud services.

[9 x 6.2 x 2.8"] Ordered 6 12TB drives for a client's Synology DiskStation DS1823xs+ and all came with no errors, are extremely fast individually and very very strong drives when benchmarked in a RAID 6 (72TB, with 43TB usable in this configuration). Was able to practically saturate a 10Gbit network connection when testing sustained read/performance). Wrote a 4GB file to the NAS from a PCI 4.0 NVME Drive and hit 1080MB/sec. All came with Firmware 1401 and was easily updated in Synology DSM to 1402. Drives are fairly quite considering their capacity and intended performance in a NAS environment. Would recommend, other than being way more expensive that non-Synology branded Drives like an equivalent Seagate IronWolf Pro, etc. but as the compatibility list grows for this new NAS, other brands might become viable/better options.
