Tamron Ef Lenses

[82 mm (Front)] I started off with a Tamron G2 70-200 f2.8 which is hands down one of the best lenses I ever owned. A fraction of the cost of Canon without sacrificing much at all. I used to be a Panasonic m43 user and then switched to BMD Pocket 4k cameras. I am using both the Tamron lenses on a Metabones Speedbooster and they work great. I now have moved on to first a Canon M6 mk2 and now a Canon R6 mainly for the really good EF lens adapting support. Both work wonderfully and while we wait for 3rd party lens support on the Canon RF mount we have some great affordable EF options out there like the Tamrons.

[Proprietary] I purchased this collar to use on my Canon R6 Mark II with a battery grip, for shooting dance competitions on a monopod for very long periods of time. I paired it with the Tamron EF 24-70 G2 and Tamron 70-200 EF G2, and it is a solidly built collar, fits well with both of my lenses, and allows me to very quickly change between portrait and landscape during the dances, where time is very limited. I prefer it over the collar on the 70-200 as well, since the collar hangs up on multiple points where the bearings meet the gap in the collar, and it just happens to never be at an even 90 degree rotation, unlike the atoll which has clicking stops and can be rotated and stopped at an even spot in milliseconds. And although I don’t shoot vertical with the 24-70, the Atoll lets me quickly swap lenses between dances when I’m moving from solos to groups, while never having to take the camera off the monopod. With just a little bit of adjusting, I can swap lenses and be ready to shoot again in about 15-20 seconds.

[Leica M] No problem with a number of my Canon EF, Tamron, and Sigma lens. Even tried my 50+ year old Pentax super takamar 50mm f1.4 lens with Fotodiox PK to EOS adapter. Of course to manage expectations, you have to work in the manual setting on the Hasselblad X1DII and adjust everything but focus is quite clean and you need to deal with vignetting, but that was expected. Well built, solid tight attachment.

[Sony E] What a surprise! I purchased a Vello lens adapter to use with my seven Canon/Tokina/Tamron EF lenses for $99 thinking it would only be for manual focus. Imagine my surprise--- with a little patience it WILL forcus automatically with the above types of EF lens.I'm ecstatic !!!! -pbellefleur

[0.265 lb] After using in mt EF 600mm f4L IS II I started thinking this should be how all lenses used filters. The thumb wheel works flawlessly as it sits just below where I put my hand to steady the lens on my gimbal or monopod. It gets rid of the nasty mid day glare from animal faces and backs. And I love the new detail I am pulling out of bird feathers as well as opting to reduce or eliminate reflections. This is making me consider the filter holder ef to rf adapter as I still use a lot of ef glass with my R5.
