I've been in the market for for a new Bluetooth speaker and I finally found the one. I was looking for something a little bigger, louder (with more bass of course), and a longer battery life for those long beach days and camping trips. I was blown away as this speaker checks off every one of those boxes. It is the perfect size for being big enough to fill any room and the outdoor party I had last weekend, while not being too big where it is no longer portable. The best feature of the SoundLink Max is the the adjustable EQ settings using the Bose app. It's so easy to adjust based on your surroundings or favorite music genre. I tend to like listening to music with a lot of bass and I was blown away with the sound quality with the volume cracked up and bass all the way up. It also was quite convenient when my phone died the other day and I was able to plug it into the speaker to charge vs having to leave my phone inside to charge. The icing on the cake is the fact that it's also waterproof. I highly recommend yet again another great Bose product and look forward to bring it many places!

[Bluetooth] This speaker is exactly what I was looking for to play music around the house. It connects fairly quickly to Bluetooth via the app, and the bass bumps. Perfect for dance parties with my kids or relaxing to classical music at dinner time. I also ordered one of the little posts me speakers to sync up and play music in the kitchen so I’m looking forward to having a “surround sound” effect. I had been looking at a 2-3k dollar set up with a receiver and separate L/R speakers but am so glad I went with this because it meets my needs without being too technical for a novice.

[+10dBV] There is no standmount or floor standing speaker within reason that can control and put out bass like a quality sub. It is far better to cut off satellite speakers at 80hz (and the sub for that matter). The satellites will be more open and effortless, bass will be cleaner. A crossover will make a huge difference in detail, dynamics and clean slam. Quit running your stand mounts or floor-standers full range. cross them over and you'll be rewarded with superior sound.
