Thunderbolt 3 Hard Drive Docking Station

My old Thunderbolt cable sheathing was coming apart at the end and wasn't long enough for me to place my docking station back behind my monitors like I wanted. This Belkin cable solves both of those problems, and provides 100W power delivery, where my old cable only gave me 40W. I really like the high power rating, as it allows my laptop to charge up much faster. This cable is super long, roughly 6ft, and has a very premium build quality feel to it. I love using Thunderbolt cables as they really declutter my workspace and make docking and undocking my laptop as simple as plugging in a cable. This is hands-down the best Thunderbolt cable I've owned!

[3.51 lb] Using this docking station with my Dell XPS15. One Thunderbolt connection is now all I need to have my laptop connected to two QHD monitors (one of them widescreen), desktop speakers, keyboard/mouse, and a backup hard drive. That still leaves a few ports available for additional accessories. The only thing that would possibly make this dock better would be the SD card readers that some other brands include. It's nice to be able to just unplug one connection to go portable - and plug back in for a desktop-like experience. So far, I'm very pleased with my purchase.

[3.5"] I have had this case for a couple years now. As someone who runs a project studio and it's a media junkie, I was looking for storage abd backup options outside of my NAS unit. So I bought a dual slot HDD docking station that connects to my computer via USB and started buying high capacity internal drives. I wrote the drives in this case, and when I need data off any of the drives, I pull the case out, find the drive I need, and drop it into the docking station. Worship the wise, the case is identical to all the other hard shell cases I have for other studio gear. It's rugged and the foam inside is cut perfectly for the drives. The foam isalso made of anti static material, so you're drives are safe from static electricity shocks. Well worth the price. As my drive count grows, I'll be grabbing another one of these.

[Yes] I've gone through 3 other brands of SATA drive docking stations, and with most of them I've had trouble getting drives to mount, where the docking station will give up trying to mount the drive if it can't mount the first time. With the StarTech docking station I am pretty much guaranteed that the drive will mount, as the docking station will keep trying to mount the drive until it succeeds. I also like how the indicator light changes to blue when a drive is mounted, and to pink when the drive is unmounted.
