[Yes] This is an amazing camera. Easily the best mirrorless video camera on the market and with image quality to rival cameras like the EVA-1, C300 II, and FS7. It's a true cinema camera in a mirrorless form factor. Add in the best IBIS in the business (again, by a mile), great colors, superior low light, and fantastic usability and robustness, and you have a true winner. The only thing that isn't as great as the competition is autofocus - but, honestly, every time I've tried to use autofocus on a shoot, it has failed me at critical moments, so I don't trust it anyway. For photos, the AF is great. The fact that this camera has 10-bit 422 in 4k, 6k, anamorphic modes, and soon 5.9k ProRes Raw (and 4k ProRes Raw), is incredible. While Canon's latest releases are tempting (especially the C300 III and R5), the Panasonic S1H is the best bang for your buck camera on the market right now. And yes, it is $4k while competitors are $2k-$3k, but it's true competition is really $6-11k cinema cameras. It is that good. Oh! And you can have a double XLR module and it has timecode. And it's Netflix approved! It's an amazing camera. Buy it. 5 |
