Top Video Camcorders

[Optical] The new Sony FDR-AX700 4K camcorder is one of the top ten best camcorders you can find in the market nowadays. The resolution is absolutely astonishingly breathtaking. I highly recommend this product to anybody. So pleased with my purchase.

[58 mm] I have owned many camcorders and cameras in the last 25 years. I am a surveillance contractor and I needed the ability to take superior video and stills in all lighting conditions. This XA20 "Run and Gun" style camera is the answer. I use one card slot for raw video, the other for captured high quality stills from the raw video slot (all programmable in the menu). I can push the stills to others via phone app in less than 60 seconds. I researched all camcorders to death before deciding on this one. It has all the features needed for what my industry demands for superior work product (large sensor, excellent low light ability, high optical zoom, card slots, non-bulky mobility, great image stabilization, easy connectivity, user friendly design, and great overall value). I realize that my applications for this device are unique and somewhat extreme, but it was worth every dime I paid for it. I used Sony products for years. They cannot compete with Canon in my field anymore. Period.

[1x USB-C ] The Canon VIXIA is a solid brand of camcorders and the Canon G70 fulfills that promise that older G series VIXIA camcorders have. Dual recording reliability, sharp video, stellar autofocus and stabilization puts Canon at the top of the list for camcorder versatility. This is also a great option if you record audio externally, and don't need the XLR inputs. I've used a bunch of VIXIA's to record concerts and musicals with an external audio mixer/recorder over the years, and never had one freeze on me. Make sure your memory card can handle 4K video. Sandisk extreme V90 works best. That being said, buy the larger batteries if need be, and use some extension cords if necessary with the AC adapter if you can.

[Chalkboard] I needed a simple clapboard for a recent video shoot, since I was recording by myself with 2 camcorders (ie, 1 static camcorder, 1 moving camcorder). The Chalkboard slate by Delta 1 was perfect for my job. By using this product, I was easily able to align the audio/video in my NLE software.
