[Touchpad] Love the track pad no no need for the mouse light weight and conveniently portable  5 |

[3.25 lb] The best - in my opinion - is the Kensington Expert Mouse which has better precision and control. This one is better for travel since the ball does not fall out and it is more compact. Both provide additional buttons which can be customized to improve the workflow. 5 |

[2] so much better than a mouse, yet, not a clumsy, huge, spaceship looking thing. you can keep it anywhere, hold it in your hand to use it. no sore anything. use any of 3 fingers to roll the ball. i might suggest a design what could be held in the hand, easily, for use anywhere, including in a pocket. i love it, perfect. 5 |

[Mac, Windows] You will forget about your mouse and even your touchscreen. Not that those aren't great technologies, they just require you perform the strenuous, repetitive and ultimately torturous gymnastics that your back, shoulder, arm, elbow, wrist and fingers need to through manipulating mice and touchscreens, (which can lead to serious pain and worse) in audio and video apps. Well, that's all history using the Expert Mouse trackball to move through audio and video menus and tracks. Your posture is always in the right place, your arm and wrist is at always at rest and your fingers fall naturally on the ball and the four programmable buttons. The piece-de-resistance is the scroll wheel that is positioned around the ball You're now scrolling through menus and rolling, rewinding, fast forwarding and scrubbing with the precision and speed you just can't do any other way, especially all day or night without killing your muscles and tendons from your fingertips to your neck. I bought it on a B&H Dealzone promo at a steal and once I started using it I definitely would have paid much more for it because of the way it streamlined my workflow, totally relieved the strain of mouse-ing around or even reaching for my expensive MIDI control surface to operate solo, mute, faders, scroll through tracks, literally without lifting a finger (let alone my whole arm). Programming the buttons is a breeze. (With Ctrl, Alt, Shift and 12 Function key prefixes you've got tons of control over your DAW). If you are doing audio or video you owe it to your physical and mental health to get this thing NOW. It's a no-brainer. You WILL see and feel the difference immediately. With all the tons of tech stuff, hard and soft, we buy, collect and hoard as musicians, producers, editors, mixers, and engineers, some of which never even gets used even weekly, there is NO excuse not to at least try this thing out because it will get used daily from the moment you plug it in. 5 |

[Touch] This is my third Mac mouse. The preview two used Apple's clever, tiny roller ball. One was wired, the other wireless. They worked fine when new but over time the roller ball suffered as all mice roller balls due because of lint, dirt, dust, etc. They stops rolling. Worse, Apple's roller ball cannot be cleaned and eventually has to be recycled. (I took one apart to prove this to myself.) The new Magic mouse uses no roller ball. In fact it has no moving parts at all! No orifices to become clogged, no cleaning to do. Instead, it uses trackpad-like technology. Users drag one or two fingers across the surface for different scrolling effects, and click the left or right side for a traditional left or right click. The Magic mouse fits comfortably in hand and is delightfully handsome, just as you'd expect from Apple. It runs off AA batteries which appear to last longer. And, of course, it is wireless. Setup was easy and efficient. No surprise. The Magic mouse works flawlessly with or without an optical mouse pad and seems gentle on surfaces (should you be using a nice wooden desk, e.g.). My only complaint is the price. But you come to tolerate higher prices from Apple because their products are superior. And that, I figure, is only fair. 5 |

[Plastic] My wife's corded mouse gave up. The ball couldn't be cleaned satisfactory and the operation was intermittent. I replaced it with the Bluetooth mouse and everything is working well. 5 |

[1000 to 2400] The Kensington Trackball really hits the spot for me. CAD is my primary use... It is large diameter and cruises across the screen. I got a red one. Green or blue would be my choice (that I did not make.) The four assignable buttons and the scroll loop are added benefits.Track balls were the first mouse products long before mouse options became available (using a rolling ball to surface desk, etc. they got dirty) One thing I might like is a travel security as the ball is not secure in its pocket. It is so nice to have the large orb, I take it home and to work and use it on various computers, and laptop. I need to take the dongle with me, but let me say it is nice. It stays in place and does not need all the space a mouse consumes. The wrist rest is a sweet accommodation, but is not required (it was delivered with the trackball. One reason I spent the extra funds for this deluxe product is it can be operated with either hand, hence when I first used a mouse 35 years ago I trained myself to use my less dexterous left hand for the simple point and click two button, and my right hand for the 100+ keyboard. I've had other track ball devices and they were never as easy to use as this honky-dory device. Ron P. 5 |

[1.225 lb] Soon after I bought the Syrp Genie 3 axis kit which includes the Magic Carpet (Short Track), I had to the opportunity to travel and decide to shoot some time lapses and wanted to take my Gyrp kit. While the rest of the kit was easy to pack, the Track was a different story. Ended up buying the Syrp Case for the track. The quality of the case is great, its not padded as much as I would have expected, but then again the track is pretty sturdy and probably could take some rough use. It is a very snug fit, but allows for room to have the slider piece to be on the track and still fit which is great. Overall a good case for a great product. 5 |
