[6 lb] I needed a desk mount for my business and recreational computer monitor. I purchased a 32" gaming monitor suitable for both my requirements and I needed to have it mounted to my desk and adjustable for height and side to side movement. I originally planned to affix the monitor mount to the lip at the back of my desk, but found that the lip was too narrow to allow the mounting bracket a full grip on the desk. I contacted Mount - It customer support and was told that this mount is convertible to a grommet mount which requires only one hole to be drilled through the desktop, in an out-of-the way location. The idea that this mount has so multiple ways to mount to the desk is ingenious. Once installed, the mount is adjustable, up, down, sideways, forward and back and is a very handy feature, that allows movement in any direction for perfect positioning. The high quality of construction is noticeably apparent upon assembling the mount and once in place and adjusted can be further locked in place by tightening Allen screws with the provided tools. All in all, a well-designed unit that I would not hesitate to purchase again.

Don't really want an all-singing, all-dancing moves every direction contraption, that sticks too far out from the wall? Then this is the right answer. Mounted a friends 32 curved monitor perfectly and securely. Only downside is a very minimal number of bolts to attach this mount to the monitor; you'll likely as not have a $2 trip to the hardware store for the correct length bolts.

[Landscape] I have a stand-up desk and previously had 2 monitors on it, which was awkward at best when I stood up. So I replaced the 2 monitors with one 40" monitor....which was even MORE cumbersome on the lift-up! I was desperate to find a way to make the monitor useful for both sitting and standing....and the Mount-It Tripod was the perfect solution. I now have the full workspace surface of my lift-up AND the massive real estate of the single, large monitor....AND I can easily raise or lower the monitor on the stand to accommodate whichever position I choose.
