Truck Bluetooth Adapter

[3/8"-16 Male] I received this package the night before a shoot. In the morning, I placed the adapter the hood of my truck while I loaded other gear; you know, so I wouldn't forget it! Well, I forgot it. Two weeks later I see a suspiciously familiar object laying in the middle of the busy intersection by my house. After a quick game of Frogger; I retrieved the adapter, and boy -- it told one heck of a story. The poor thing sat for weeks, battered by cars, trucks, rain and sun; ultimately to be chewed up by what I can only assume was a lawn-mower. The knuckle is bent and seized, a two-inch deep gash adorns it's cup and road rash mares it's once pristine finish. One turn in the vice freed it's knuckle and it still works like designed! It has earned itself a permanent spot on my desk as a paperweight.

[USB-A (2.0)] Purchased a Bluetooth adapter just to see what all the fuss was about ..Sent a few files to my computer.. Could have done this through Email :-) Only con i found is when I paired this with my Bluetooth headphones, my wifi connection would become choppy..

[1] I wanted a Bluetooth adapter to allow the connection of a keyboard and mouse to my desktop. Works great with Windows 7.

[1] I bought Waves NX Head Tracker to use it with Logic Pro X in a Mac Pro Mid 2010 OS El Capitan and Bluetooth 2.1 I needed Bluetooth 4.0, so I bought this StarTech adapter. Plugged into my computer, but it was not recognized as BT 4.0. Then I downloaded Hardware_IO_Tools_for_Xcode_7.3.dmg, and installed Bluetooth Explorer in the Applications folder. Opened it, Tools menu and choose HCI Controller Selector, I clicked at the arrows and selected Broadcom Corp and clicked Activate. Done My computer recognized the StarTech adapter as Bluetooth 4, and I was able to use my excellent Waves NX Head Tracker.

[Synthesizer] I'm using this mostly as a phone headset with a Fiio bluetooth adapter, for work teleconferences, but I also use it to listen to tunes. It works far better than it should for music, and it's comfortable. Very nice.

[USB-A (2.0)] I got this Bluetooth adapter to expand my desktop with Bluetooth capability to connect to my Bluetooth speaker and Wacom pen tablet board. This adapter works right out of box. Just plug and play. No installation required. It does take up one USB outlet. My Windows 10 OS recognized it right away. It is also backward compatible with my older Bluetooth 3.0 devices. I have not tested it with my Bluetooth headset for Skype calls. I think it should not be any problem.

[USB-A (2.0)] Very impressed with the quality from Asus with this bluetooth adapter. Works perfectly and as described. Couldn't settle for anything less!

[Yes] My significant other works from home and needed to replace her Polycom Voxbox, which has been malfunctioning when its warranty ended. Replaced it with the Jabra Speak 750. Even though the Speak 750 supports wired USB and Bluetooth, I used the USB adapter that came with 750 in order to establish full Teams control from the Speak 750. It has worked flawlessly with her Windows 10 Pro HP laptop. Note that I tried using Windows Bluetooth, but it did not have the range of Teams controls that the adapter provides. Plus, noise cancelling works fine, where even noise from the dish washer does not interrupt the call. The Speak 750 supports up to 10 Bluetooth-paired devices with 2 active simultaneously. In using the USB adapter, the iPhone that is paired with the 750 does not interrupt any Teams meetings if the iPhone receives a message or phone call. Finally, Jabra technical support was excellent. Had an issue with audio feedback, and after 10 minutes of wait, I was able to talk to a live, knowledgeable person and resolved the issue. Highly recommend the Speak 750!
