[4.605 lb] As alway, B&H came thru when no one else could. These days, it's hard to get parts for my underwater camera housing. B&H came thru.

[1.5 lb] I needed an underwater housing for my SLR so I could use it on a trip that would include some very basic snorkeling. Admittedly I was a little reluctant to jump in the ocean with my camera in what amounted to a plastic bag, but there was nothing to worry about because the bag worked flawlessly. It was real easy to use, the camera went in and came out quickly. Obviously it was cumbersome to use the controls underwater due to there being a thick plastic bag between fingers and the controls but it beat not having a camera that could be taken underwater. I considered buying a rigid housing that would allow for better control interface underwater but I decided since I am not a professional and since I don't do extensive underwater photography investing that much money seemed foolish. An additional bonus is this case folds up pretty small, so tucking it in my camera bag was easy.

[200' / 60 m] Just finished a trip to the Caribbean using this housing and it performed very well. The first thing you'll notice is just how bulky it is. I was more used to the slim fit of Canon's underwater housings for their Digital Elph line of pocket shooters. Sony's unit must make room for the full throw of the 70mm (equiv.) zoom lens, a mechanism to turn the control ring around the lens, and flexibility to fit all five RX100 models. Once you get over the size, you'll appreciate the amount of control you have over the unit. You'll have access to nearly every button and lever on the camera, including the control ring. About the only functionality you'll lose is the ability to spin the click wheel in the lower right of back controls. But, you can still operate that wheel as a 4-way D-pad with 4 dedicated buttons. In terms of usability, size does play a factor. The bulk might make one-handed operation tricky for folks with small hands. It will definitely consume the use of one hand entirely; you can't just let it dangle from your wrist. So, climbing a ladder back onto a boat, managing your flippers and snorkel, etc. can be a challenge. I usually had to hand my camera off at that point. Once in the water, the weight of the housing is balanced nicely by its buoyancy. It's pretty easy to keep it pointed at a target, even one-handed. If you let go of it, it will float, but it's not fighting you while trying to shoot. Still, you'll need 2 hands to keep it steady for video, especially with any kind of current. My only wish is that the camera itself had a higher top end on LCD screen brightness. It was the first thing I had to dig through the settings on once underwater. And, it only goes up 2 levels, which was still a challenge depending on the angle of sunlight. As such, I never made use of control ring and relied solely on full auto mode. All in all, I made out with some great photos and HD/4K video. And had the peace of mind and confidence to take a $900 camera underwater

I replaced all of the T-knobs on my underwater camera rig (all 7 of them), as with a black housing, black arms, black floats, and black clamps with black T-knobs, it wasn't always obvious which way the T-knobs were facing. Adding this Red T-Knob to my black clamps instantly solved the problem, and makes quick adjustments underwater easy and fast, without thinking! The machining and quality of the knobs is superb, and matches the quality of all the other ULCS products.

[2.76 lb] I have not yet used this device underwater, but it's easy to see that it's a very well engineered product. All controls are easily accessible, and the camera goes into the housing with no problem. Sony did a great job in building this unit. It's very well made and I cannot think of anything they could have done to make it better. I will use it with the RX100 M5, and this will increase it's value to me.

[IP68 Waterproof] I bought this housing because I wanted to use a good compact Sony camera to capture underwater wildlife. I was frustrated with the GoPro and unimpressive still photos. The housing allows use of all buttons on the camera and functions that allow quality pictures underwater. I have included pictures from my first time use in Kona Hawaii. Make your own conclusions from my experience. I highly recommend this housing.

[Black] there are so many hard cases to choose from, but this case turned out to be the perfect size camera case for my underwater housing and strobes, I am really happy with the case and the service I received. The case came on the day promised, I would recommend these cases to anyone

[6.1 x 6 x 3.5"] I bought this camera for underwater use with the Canon underwater housing. It was very easy to use and it took some really good photos. I am not a photographer so I wanted something that an amateur might get decent results with. It did. Can't wait to use it again.
