[PoE] I install UniFi equipment for several customers and was using a UniFi Cloud Key for controlling my AP network. Unfortunately the Cloud Key started flaking out after many years of use so I decided to purchase and install this UniFi Express. Features out the wazoo and easy to set up just like the Dream Machine SE units I deploy for my customers. Highly recommend this unit for home or small business use.

[CE, FCC, IC] Got the Cloud Key to monitor our Unifi setup. Not really necessary but it is nice to monitor your network from anywhere and especially if something comes up you can check your phone or tablet of your networks health. Overall a nice addition to your Unifi setup.

[Aluminum] This is an awesome little cloud key. It allows so much more than just controlling APs and network devices. I have set up a few for clients and you can also use Unifi Protect, Talk, and Access with these units. Great little cloud key for the price!

[6.07 oz / 172 g] This is my first experience with a Unifi system. I kept going back and forth if the cost of a Cloud Key is worth it. I've heard stories of the Gen 1 units corrupting if power is lost. This unit has a capacitor to allow graceful shutdown if power goes out. If you love looking at stats and graphs, you need a Cloud Key, or must run the controller software on a dedicated device. I probably could've built a Raspberry Pi for less, but the simplicity of this device makes it worth it. Like my Unifi 8-port 150w, this cloud key runs warm. This seems to be normal, but I would not want to have this in a non-temperature controlled area.

[Silver] If you have multiple Unifi devices, the cloud key is a must have and well worth giving the amount of data and control it provides.

[1 x MicroSD] I bought this to replace my gen 1 Cloud Key. It has a few key features that the gen 1 does not. The most important being that if it senses that power is out it will shut itself down. The GEN one cloud key has an issue that if it lost power it could corrupt the site info stored on it. The gen 2 also has mush better specs and internal storage so no need for the micro ad card.

[0.645 lb] Definitely an upgrade from the Cloud Key Gen 1, worth the money.

[Redundant] I recently purchased this as an alternative to Unifi and wow...I really like the options and ability to edit this switch. The only thing I did not like is the cloud management. I prefer local because I don't like putting my stuff at risk by going through the internet. We have enough vulnerabilities in our networks, why risk it even more. Besides the options for management is better for local than the cloud. If you can get this, go get it...great switch.

[20 dBm] We are all in with Ubiquiti for us and our clients. Provides great coverage and running the required Unifi controller on a PC, cloud or cloud key gives loads of info about the device, clients, etc. Even better, dealing with B&H is soo enjoyable! Great prices, fast service and delivery and any questions are responded to fast and friendly!
