[9.585 lb] Works as advertised: plays all regions of dvds, blurays and 4k blurays with minimal fuss. Haven't tried blu-ray region C though. I don't use the internet features but has familiar Roku interface. Also plays a variety of media via usb port. This cd replace all your other disk-based media and accommodates more. Hope it lasts but seems to have typical SONY high build quality. I also own the similar SONY multi-region blu-ray player and it has held up well under regular use.

[LAN] I have been using (I thought) high end 4K UHD Blu-ray players for a few years, but I got frustrated by my Sony constantly freezing when it switched layers. This machine plays discs that froze on the Sony perfectly. It's video upscaling and HDR enhancements are quite obvious. One thing to keep in mind: setting up the video, make sure you choose 4.4.4 output, so you get what you are paying for. And on the audio, set the outputs to bitstream to fully send all of the channels to your AV receiver to decode. I am glad I bought it.

[4K] An overall excellent Blu-ray DVD player. We purchased this player because we needed something to play a collectors edition of Blu-ray DVDs. As expected, the Blu-ray discs look great on the screen. Standard definition DVDs also look great. Sony is known for the superior upscalers built into their video devices, and this Blu-ray player does not disappoint when playing standard definition DVDs. Our Sony TV also has an excellent upscaler built-in, but I'd rate the Sony Blu-ray player as producing a better overall picture. The onscreen display is crisp and responsive. The remote includes most of the functions you need, so there's usually no need to dive far into the onscreen display menus. The player has a built-in Bluetooth transmitter, so now it's possible to watch discs without the need to crank-up the entire entertainment system and disturb anyone trying to sleep. The unit does vibrate when playing even commercially pressed discs. The vibrations don't make any noise, so it's no cause for concern, it's just a little strange.

[Version 3.0] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my Sony dvd/Blu-ray player about a week ago, it is awesome and compatible with my smart television which is great and comes with a Netflix feature which I love. I would definitely recommend this product to my family and friends, it’s not bulky and has a sleek design which is aesthetically pleasing.
