Usb 10Gbe Ethernet Adapter

The USB-C to Ethernet + Charging adapter charges your connected device while also providing an ethernet connection, so no need for multiple connectors. I have been using this on my Android phone and my laptop, both devices have a USB-C port and my Belkin adapter worked great on both devices. It provided an adequate charge and a stable internet connection without any issues. The adapter was immediately recognized by both devices and there was no need to install any software to make the adapter work. The adapter is also small and portable enough to carry with you anywhere you go. I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking for an ethernet + charging adapter.

[Yes] This is the cheapest SFP+ switch (but reliable) I could find for my homelab. Many others are more expensive. After reading reviews on the Mikrotik SFP+ options I decided to stay with Unifi since I already had many Ubiquiti Ethernet switches and a controller in place. I am also connecting this to a Unifi 24-port via 1-Gb SFP as a link and connecting to my core switch via 10GbE over CAT6. Core switch is an FS.COM unit with a 10GbE Ethernet transceiver. No issues negotiating to 10GbE. The CAT6 cable run is probably under 50 feet. I am also using old Finisar transceivers without issue, but have not tried DAC cables yet. However, if you do not have a Unifi Controller in place perhaps wait for the new QNAP managed combo switches coming out. It will be a lot simpler. Or you can get the more expensive EdgeSwitch ES-16-XG.

[2.345 lb] For those who want to start on the 10Gb Ethernet this product is a great deal. It has 2 10Gbe port so I can connect my Mac mini and my NAS directly and increase my speeds from 110Mb/s to 450Mb/s Write and 950Mb/s Read. Beside that, we have 4 additional 2.5Gbe ports so I can use with other Macs with faster speeds than before! I'm loving it!!

[5 V / 2 A] This single-purpose adapter may be more reliable than an Ethernet port combined into a multipurpose USB hub. Still, with all such adapters, you may sometimes need to unplug and re-insert the USB hookup. TP-Link also has a USB-C version; I've purchased many of both types.

[3] Keep in mind that this base config iMac has no ethernet and only 2 USB-C ports. Of course with the proper USB-C adapter / hub / dock, this is a non-issue. But you should be prepared for this need.
