PROS - Rugged and well-built - Large fan runs quiet while keeping your drives cool. the fan doesn't spin up until there's an active drive. - Two usb ports (one to connect your computer, and another to daisy chain additional devices. - Built-in power supply (no power brick) -- uses an average IEC power cord (included) that you probably have dozens of spares lying around. This is an advantage over the current 4-bay version. - Drives just pop into a free bay, no caddy or mounting hardware of any kind required - Good USB 3.2 speeds (your drives will probably be the limiting factor) - Power switch on the front panel for each of the 5 drive bays The lack of RAID support isn't a negative for me because I was looking for a JBOD solution. If I ever need that feature, I can choose one of the many software RAID solutions out there. Only thing missing is Thunderbolt support, but I can live without that given it has USB 3.2.
