[Gray] I'm a voice over actor and was previously using a usb condenser microphone for at home recording. I don't have the best sound proofing so decided to pick up a Dynamic mic and the Shure SM7B was the most recommended. It's been great as I don't have to fix as much in post with room tone and sounds coming from other rooms

[1" (2.5 cm)] I use this mic stand with the Yeti THX-Certified USB Condenser Microphone, and even though the mic is quite heavy, the mic stand is still stable and secure. It's also easy to adjust. Setting it up and taking it down are fairly simple as well. From my experience, for people from 5'1 to 5'10, it worked fine, and when we were playing instruments, it was easily adjustable to a lower height.

[5/8" Receiver] Use this to hold up my Blue Condenser Microphone. It's impressive because the microphone is extremely heavy #sweepstakes

[22 x 17 x 7"] I use this as an insert on a mic channel to help EQ a sensitive condenser microphone. Works great!

[-43 / -23 dB] I really should have bought the ADX20IP Cardioid Condenser Instrument Microphone WITH the APS910 Power Supply ... but oh well ... live and learn. I use it connected to the Tascam DR-100 MKII and have loved the results.

[Bus Power] I bought this microphone for use with Dragon Dictate 3 for Mac. Microphones for speech recognition can be problematic in terms of sufficient signal quality for dictate accuracy. So far I am very please with the Yeti; dictation accuracy is as good as I have seen with speech recognition in fairly technical documents. I have it set to the cardioid pattern; the ability to set different patterns for different uses is nice, although not applicable to my use. Connection is via USB, and at least on my Mac, it was easy plug and play. The only downside for speech recognition is that you are tethered by the (fairly long, supplied) USB cable, but for my use that again isn't a problem. If you want to walk around while dictating, obviously you will need a wireless option.

[50 Hz to 20 kHz] I bought the AKG C3000 primarily because I was looking for a decent condenser microphone, form a reputable manufacturer, within budget. I never expected a magnificent sound from this mic. But my expectations were surpassed considering the sound derived form the C3000. To begin with, this mic is solidly built in Vienna, Austria and looks elegant in black metallic finish. I use it with m101 preamp and the sound is clear and upfront. Given the price, it delivers a well defined sound. I am pleased!

[16-Bit ] In my case, I needed a microphone that was easy to install and would work anywhere. The result is very close to the system I have with microphone condenser + audio interface. The selector switch makes it possible for me to use the microphone in different environments and for different utilities. That is, versatile and with quality.
