Usb Conference Microphone

[Bus Power] One of my colleagues was using this little microphone during the conference call and the sound quality was pretty good. So, I asked the microphone info and he shared the Polsen info and it was on sale from B&H where I buy all my tech gears. It gave reliable sound quality any participants sitting around the microphone. And it worked well when plug the microphone into an available USB port on your desktop or laptop computer using an USB Type-C cable. The mute button on microphone is also useful.

[0.76 lb] I did not have high hopes, since I have used many USB microphones in the past. This microphone picks up speech from 20 people around a very large conference table, without a hitch. A person sitting 25 feet from the mic was crisp, loud, and clear. I couldn't believe it! This is the best microphone money can buy. We use it in our conference room to connect to a laptop using GoToMeeting where we use the LCD display as the speaker. It's nothing short but a feat of technology.

[3 lb] We modified this mount a little bit by adding a m-7 thread adapter to it to hang a microphone from the ceiling in our conference room. This attachment works great! It does what we need it to. Very solid construction.

[100 Hz to 8 kHz] The Yamaha YVC-1000 is top-of-the-line. We have a 15x35 foot conference room with about a 20-foot table in the center. We tried other products and just didn't get good enough microphone levels. The speaker is very loud and the included microphone is excellent. We've added one more microphone for extended coverage. I think the best feature is the built-in auto-tuning. Very slick and actually works very well.

[118 dB] These headphones were purchased for telecommuting business use, primarily for VOIP customer conference and internal company calls. I have used them for both short conversations and hours long conference calls, and found them to be comfortable to wear and easy to put on or take off. Sound quality is excellent (when compared to audio and gaming headsets I have used) and the microphone pickup is clear (according to feedback from listeners). I chose the dual headset to block ambient sound in my home office, and the USB-A connection to allow flexibility for USB or 3.5mm connections. Microphone position adjustment is easy and it stays in position unless moved. The in-line control (mute, volume and on/off-hook switches) are easy to use and have visual indicators. I also set- up the headset to use the audio prompt so I am notified when I select mute on or off. I use the headset multiple times a day, so it goes through 10-20 putting on / taking off cycles per day, and so far I have had no issues with defects or failures. When not in use it hangs on a hook with the cord suspended, so the unit is not stressed by being folded or put in a drawer, and I work close to my computer so the cord is not under tension when in use. I have only found two drawbacks: 1) if you place the microphone in certain positions it will pick up your breathing (fixed by adjusting the microphone position), and 2) the headband adjustment detents are not deep, so when you remove or handle the headset the adjustment can change (not a defect, but something to be aware of if headband/earpiece location is important to your comfort). Overall, high quality sound, easy to use and comfortable to wear make this a product I would recommend for any application similar to mine.

[Mono] I have used this microphone for about 3 years. We use the microphone in Skype for business conference calls. Users say that the attendants sound clear. Believe it or not it works amazingly well. I am impressed. While I would prefer a cordless microphone, an USB microphone is always charged!

[0.15 lb] We purchased this to record video at a conference. It worked very well. We were able to just hand a person the microphone and record a short clip before moving on to another person. They did not have to hold it close to their mouth. It did pick up both people when they were side to side and holding the mic between them. It mounted to the top of the Canon T2i and we easily switched from the wireless mic to the built-in camera mic and back again.

[HDCP 1.4] I bought this adapter and a 20' HDMI cable to use Skype for an Office conference. The only problem I had was the need to change the Skype setup to use the computer's internal microphone, rather than the phantom HDMI microphone.
