Uv Filter For Digital Camera

[Glass] The Polarizer is useful for eliminating unwanted reflections. The UV filter doesn't do much for digital cameras, they are a must have for film cameras. However it is a good lens protector and worth the money for that.

[UV] I have never been disappointed by a B W product and this 52mm UV - Haze MRC Basic filter is no exception. Although lacking the nano coating and sold at a lower price point, this basic filter still uses a brass filter ring and Schott glass. This filter cleans easily and doesn't bind like cheaper filters. An outstanding value. I use UV Haze filters for film cameras and although digital sensors are less sensitive to UV light than film, I still use these filters with digital photography for complete elimination of UV Haze and bluish casts.

[Glass] Super cheap way to protect your lens. Digital camera sensors are not as easily, if at all, bothered by UV light. The filter fit perfectly on my Nikkor lens.

[Portraiture] This was the filter combo that I was looking for, as every photographer needs a good UV protector (lens protector), polarizer, and for extra measure, neutral density. I find the typical filter kits may contain one or possibly two of these so I was happy to find this kit from a quality and value conscious manufacturer like Tiffen. I only wish that it included a compact filter pouch that I can place into my camera bag. I prefer a holster style camera bag which doesn't leave much room for accessories so a small square filter pounch would be ideal.
