Vga Adaptor For Mac

[0.1 lb] I have tested this adaptor with a different combination of computers, monitors and projectors without any big issues. The adapter comes in a small box the size of a cell phone but the thickness of two. The box is very difficult to open and the adapter sits in a flimsy tray within the box. The packaging was all wrecked removing the adaptor for the first time. The adapter has a VGA port on one side and the other side has a 3.5mm audio port, HDMI cable and Micro USB-B port. The adaptor says that is doesn't require any power so I am unsure why it has a USB port on. There are no included instructions in the box, on the box or on the web site to provide more information. When I first connected this adaptor to my computer I was shocked how quickly it was working. If I connected the HDMI port first to my computer then almost instantly of connecting a monitor the video and sounds were working. If I connect the VGA cable first, then audio and video start within 3 to 4 seconds as does any normal HDMI monitor. The sound and picture from this dongle were crisp, clear and without any delay. When I first played copy protected content (i.e. Netflix) the dongle stopped working and I had to disconnect then reconnect and it started working again. I have not been able to reproduce this issue since but I thought it would be worth noting. This adaptor starts working very quickly. I had doubts about converting HDMI to analog but my mind has been changed since using this adaptor. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

[0.205 lb] We are using it to convert from a VGA adaptor / DA to a Black Magic Design switcher for webcast. Used the builtin menu to configure - Black Magic switcher would not show output till we used a separate monitor with variable inputs.

[2.98 lb] I have been planning on buying this since it was announced and only recently got to it. I have worked in the field for 15 years and consider this (conceptually) to be pretty much the most useful thing in a toolkit after a Phillips screwdriver. The device works really well, I have used it both under Mac OSX 10.9 and Windows 7 at this time, it assists me both in the server room, and at my desk. No longer do I require a dedicated spare Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor at my desk, nor do I need to worry about connecting to our servers that do not have KVM functionality. I have run into a single issue with the device which I suspect is a limitation of Apple hardware, I was unable to activate the boot menu on a Mac Mini using the host, I ended up plugging a keyboard in to trigger the event, still using the NOTECONS01 for Monitor access. For me this was not a deal breaker at all (I did try several things and settings adjustments without success). If you are a technician that plans on using this in the field extensively I would recommend packing a DVI to VGA, as well as a MiniDP to VGA (active) and MiniDP to DP adapter. This will ensure you can connect the device to any display output you are likely to encounter in the field. If you are thinking this will be an invaluable tool for working in the field/datacenter, you will be happy with this products performance.

[20,000,000:1] This was a replacement for an aging DVI/VGA monitor I'd been using with an older Mac mini. Performs like a champ. Great screen resolution. The built-in speakers could be better, but I bought it for the screen, not the audio. Very pleased with it.

[Yes] PC/MAC VGA-BMD ATEM SDI BNC translator. This is exactly what I needed to integrate a PC output into the ATEM video mixer wanting 1080i. The key is the scanner/scaler and not just a media converter. Just wish the Syner-G tool could be run on a Mac which our studio is predominately composed of.

[USB-A] I have a mac mini and needed a 3rd Monitor on it. Installed disc and plugged in usb to vga adapter and worked great. That simple.

[0.295 lb] This was exactly what we needed to run from our older Mac Pro at church to the 200' long VGA cable that runs through the ceiling to our HD projector. No issues with signal. Works great.

Love this adaptor. Easy to use, plug it from my Mac directly to my NAS. Transfers all my large files fast and easy. Takes a second to set up. Totally worth it.
