[600 W] The MM7025 replaced a vintage power amplifier and gave new life to my dedicated stereo system. I have both analogue and digital sources, a PrimaLuna tubed preamplifier and B&W 702 S2 floor standing speakers, and this Marantz has proved to be a fundamental link in this chain. It leans a little to the warm side (which I like) and improved the sound of my speakers, with tight bass, very sweet highs, and transparent voices. At this prices level, I can't imagine anything better. 100% recommended. 5 |

[Gray / Blue] I have a vintage (1978) amplifier whose preamp isn't working. A local repair shop wanted nearly $200 to fix it, provided they could still get parts. I bought the PP999, plugged it into a line-level input and started enjoying my record collection again! It works well and is very cost effective! 5 |

[140 W ] I replaced my active monitors with the ELAC speakers and a Yamaha integrated amplifier. Since the ELAC has coaxial arrangement of tweeter + midrange, I felt it would work fine for near field listening. I'm very happy with the result. With nothing playing, the combination of amp with passive speakers has no background hiss. My old monitors had audible hiss and non-defeatable auto-shutoff unless the playback was kept sufficiently loud. I'm using an RME ADI-2 DAC feeding the Yamaha amp. I chose ELAC's Satin White with Oak Sides to escape the all-black look of my old monitors. 5 |

[Sealed] The Avantone CLA-200 Studio Reference Amplifier is easily the best purchase I made all year. I own a pair of Yamaha NS 10M Studio Monitors and for years I just used random amplifiers to power them. I decided this year to invest in a better quality amplifier to improve the overall sound quality of my Monitors. After weeks of research And reading countless reviews I decided to go with the CLA-200. I must say the shipping was immediate and I received the new amplifier the very next day after ordering. I can't stress how impressed I was with the sound quality the CLA-200 brought to my NS-10's. The clarity and the frequency response was just amazing. I highly recommend the CLA-200 for any and all Yamaha NS10 users. You won't be disappointed! 5 |

[50 Kilohms ] A week into this amplifier and I’m pleased with its performance and value. The A-S301 replaces a Denon PMA-600NE which I had -- briefly. The main problem with the Denon was the dodgy motorized volume control. Like the motorized volume control on the A-S301, it rotates clockwise from about 7:00 to 5:00 either by hand or by using the remote. The problems with the Denon were (1) it had almost no volume between 7:00 and about 8:30, and then the volume came on with a rush and (2) the steps using the remote were too coarse (an online review of a Marantz amplifier – same parent company – noted the same things). I was curious how the Yamaha volume control would work, but I need not have worried. I stuck a little orange dot on the volume knob and it was easy to tell that both the knob movement and the volume levels were aligned, and that the amplifier was capable of fine adjustment manually or with the remote. The other nice feature about the A-S301 (and its siblings) is the loudness control. I haven’t needed it much for contemporary CDs or FLAC files, but recently I got some FLACs and CDs of re-mastered Arturo Toscanini/NBC Symphony recordings from the early 1950s. These are mono, but adjusting both the volume and loudness greatly improved the listening experience. Kudos to Yamaha for that feature at this price point. I’m using a pair of Polk ES15 speakers, which is a combination that several online reviews recommend. I also have a Polk XT10 down-firing subwoofer. My living room is not large, and the Yamaha/Polk setup makes for a very good listening experience. The only thing I miss from the Denon is the built-in Bluetooth for listening. I like to play music from the speakers, and also use a pair of on-ear headphones around inside the house. I still haven’t found a good solution for that, but it certainly wasn’t a deal breaker. Taking all into consideration, and as others have noted, the A-S301 punches way above its weight. 5 |

[±0.5 dB] I own the Yamaha A-S2100, so why would I buy the A-s801 ? I discovered the sweet mid range of this amplifier, but I discovered how beautiful and full rounded this amplifier is. I am running a pair of Linton 85 anniversary edition, and the sound could not be any sweeter. It drives those speakers with authority and grace. Excellent highs and lows, and to die for mids. Gorgeous in silver, and great remote included. Get it , you will thank yourself later. 5 |

[±0.5 dB] My Yamaha amplifier died. My Hearing no longer warrants the investment in something equivalent. I wanted a unit with extremely low distortion. I have no need for internet connectivity, or Bluetooth feasibility. I never bought into surround sound or home theater. Yamaha was very helpful in helping me make a replacement choice. What I failed to consider is that electronic quality slowly degrades over time . This integrated amplifier is simply wonderful. The sound is clean, and clear; and the sound stage is far better than I recall in recent years . I would describe reproduction as “pure” rather than warm. It has already brought me great pleasure. 5 |
