This mount is a must for night vision and Thermal scopes! Allows for quick release to: 1) switch guns 2) charge the scope off the rifle 3) view the hunt off the rifle And the one shot zero quickly confirms that you mounted it back where it was.

[Angled] After researching and trying several spotting scopes, we finally uograded to the Vortex Razor. We are very happy with the crisp images! The angled eyepiece is helpful for minimal adjustments to accomodate our different heights when viewing birds.

[Neoprene] I’m an avid birdwatcher and have been using an entry-level spotting scope for years, so I was definitely due for an upgrade. I shopped around and tried many different scopes before settling on the Razor. In my opinion, it is clearly the best value for the money among all spotting scopes I looked through. Is it on par with a Swarovski or a Leica? No, but it’s fairly close and roughly 1/3 of the price so I’m not complaining. There is no noticeable chromatic aberration (even at 60x), I enjoy edge-to-edge sharpness in the field of view and the build quality is excellent. It even came with a free tripod (head is lame but can be swapped out) and the amazing Vortex VIP warranty. This is my 3rd piece of Vortex optics and I’m going to keep using their gear. This scope is a winner in my book.

[Straight] I recently moved to the New England coast and wanted a scope to help identify birds on the water. I'm a long-time Nikon camera and binocular owner. I also own Vortex binoculars. I researched many scopes of various brands and narrowed it down to the Nikon Prostaff 5 20-60 x 82 and the Vortex Diamondback HD 20-60 x 85, as they fit my budget. I compared them side-by-side for two days. They are both great scopes. I went with the Nikon because it was easier to focus for my small hands (which are beginning to suffer from arthritis). The Vortex focusing mechanism was too stiff for me, but it was fine for my husband. I also thought the 82 mm Nikon was just a tad brighter, even given the 85mm Vortex. But it wasn't significantly brighter. It's best at a near focus. I knew there would not be crystal-clear focus at 60, but it's not bad. The Vortex has a nice solid feel to it but maybe a bit heavy for me. I liked the lightness of the Nikon, which will be great if I take the scope elsewhere to watch wildlife. After a few weeks of using the Nikon, I'm very happy with it.
