[2] Amazing sound! Works well on Linux; however, the majority of free software is just for Windows or Mac. I'm currently using it with Harrison MixBus v6 and work like a charm. Excellent AD converters and the 4k button adds a remarkable hi-end characteristic. You can go wrong with this SSL gear. SSL, please, add official support for Linux, we are a vast community.

[3.3' / 1 m] No knock on the product, but I had hoped it would connect my USB -B ported laser printer to the USB-C port on my notebook. It's an older printer and the port is USB 2.0 standard. The description for this cable said USB 2.0 so I hoped Windows would recognize the printer. The printer manufacturer (very well known Brand) does not provide a driver for Windows 10, but their Website says Windows 10 comes with a driver for it. This printer worked with my previous Windows 10 notebook via USB, and via ethernet worked with previous Windows versions back to XP. The computer would see the printer and list it's name, but would not install the driver. I tried a few other USB adapters with same problem and no luck. Turns out you need software in addition to hardware to make this conversion. I have since obtained a Startech port adapter for connecting my notebook to dual monitors, mouse, keyboard, ethernet, and the printer all through the notebooks 1 free USB-C port. Had to install drivers for the port adapter first, but now everything is working great. If you have a new printer, with installation software, this cable may work just fine. If your printer is old, you will need a port adapter with software.

[4 MB] I love the clamshell design - slightly depress the button to open, but it also has the backup method of opening. I use different software to burn video/photos/audio to optical disc for those who still need optical, and I have not yet tried it with my software. I purchased two of these. One is for my boss & I needed get a matching one in case he ever has any problems. This review is for both devices - one on Windows 10 pro & the other on Windows 11 pro. The Pioneer was plug and play on both devices. I have not yet downloaded the Cyberlink software, nor have I yet had time to see if this works with my existing software. I can confirm that it played back both audio and video easily on both Windows 11 pro and Windows 10 Pro. Windows 11 used Windows Media Player, and Windows 10 Pro I use VLC & another player. Easily worked well on both, and was super simple to plug and play. Glad I got it & that I no longer have to use the trusty paperclip method to open an optical drive any longer. (did not seem to matter how new they were - until this clamshell design, I have not found an optical drive that didn't need a paperclip to open it occasionally - sometimes always) This one even if it does not pop all the way open, is so easy to open & close!

[Download] Fantastic scanner for a decent price. Tested on Windows 10 using Canon's software and on Ubuntu 20.04 using both scanimage and Canon's scangear. Only physical complaint is that the lid cannot be locked, but rubber bands work find. There is a lock switch on the bottom but this seems to only prevent it from scanning. Note that the resolutions between 600 and 4800 dpi are not accessible in the general CanoScan options, only in the Scangear view.
