[0.3 lb] Speakers are great and the price was great. Yamaha speakers just sound great. Wish B&H would not use Fedex for shipping. They moved arrival date so many times I had no idea when it was coming.

[8 Ohms] I spent many hours in Fry's Electronics and BestBuy stores listening all kinds of floor standing speakers, trying figure out which of them would fit my budget and my requirements... I am not audiophile, but I appreciate clear sound, and I'd like to hear all instruments. After reading reviews on Yamaha ns-555 speakers I wasn't pretty much sure if I should buy them. Some people say they sound good, some say they lack of lower frequencies... So I decided to give 'em a try. I was planning to buy a subwoofer in case they lack of base sound. I have Yamaha RX-V573 receiver (I know it's old one, but it still fits my needs), and it has bi-amp feature (not bi-wire), and ns555s can be connected in bi-amp schema. So, they arrived, I connected them to receiver, turned the music on and...felt down from coach trying to lower volume and lower base frequencies! Oh, boy! The sound was so loud and so powerfull! I do not know why people complains on lack of base.. they have lots of clear base sound! My Yamaha RX-V573 receiver has adjustable crossover, equalizer, and tone adjustment (high and low frequencies). The lower frequencies were at 0db, I set them on -3.5 db and I still have a lot of base! I set equalizer 400hz to -6db, 160hz to -3db, and 60db to 0 db, and I set crossover to 60hz. And now base guitar and drums sound like in live concert, no barrel echoes! And I do not need subwoofer anymore! :-))) Oh, and, by the way, scene is wide enough - no complains. None of the speakers of this size and price range in the store can beat ns555. I was wondering why this speakers not selling in store? And answer is clear - if people would hear them they wouldn't buy anything else, but ns555s! :-))))

[1-Channel] I have two Yamaha floor standing speakers hooked up to my turntable and tv system. I was looking into setting up for 5.1 and didn't really know how to do that with out spending a ton of money, and then I found that Yamaha has these available! They have made a huge improvement in my home theater set up, they integrate really well. You have to run cables, which are unsightly but I don't see much of a way around that. I live in a medium size Brooklyn apartment (so...small by USA standards, lets be real here)and this has been a perfect solution! I'm no audiophile, and I actually skipped the sub because the floor speakers put out plenty of bass for an apartment. Yamaha stuff for me has been a great value. This equipment will work for years to come, and as a lover of film and casual gamer, I'm in heaven! Now to get that 4k tv... :-)

[Aluminum alloy] These speakers sound great! I used (4) of these speakers with the Yamaha EMX-212S powered mixer. There was plenty of power and great sound coming out of these, considering the price. Also, these speakers are rated at 6 ohms and the mixer was rated at 4 ohms. However, there were no issues hooking up and using 4 speakers at once. You do have to get 2 phone jack connectors and 2 Speakon connectors to hook up all 4 speakers to the Yamaha EMX-212S.

[0.6 lb] Wow. Wow. wow. The quality of this DAC is out of this world. I am using this DAC with my Yamaha HS8 powered studio monitor speakers. Before this iFi DAC, I thought I had purchased cheap speakers ($750 for the pair). After installing this DAC, my speakers sound like $7500 speakers. The DAC provides such depth and breadth that you think you are in a real studio with very expensive equipment. even though the front panel has a POWER MATCH and TRUEBASS buttons to enhance the audio, I find the FIXED switch on the back that passes the signal with no enhancement a better option.

[180 W] Used to provide input to an 8 sub from an editing system with a couple of Yamaha HS5 speakers. Very easy to set up, excellent adjustment range. The sub is not as high quality as the HS5s, but it fills in the missing low end well. The controls on the SX95 work better than the ones on the sub.
