[0.09 lb] I bought the 58mm to fit on my Zeiss 50mm/1.4 Planar T*. I pair it with my Z6 as my designated B&W camera body. The filter makes all the difference in the world in both landscape and people rendering wonder contrast. I seldom remove it from the lens.

[46 mm] I bought this lens cap for the Zeiss EF 50mm f/1.4 and it works perfectly! Not too tight or too loose. Highly recommend over the bad Zeiss lens caps!

[APS-C] I work with the A7RII but I bought it more for my A6300 as a 42mm walk around lens. In the A6300 works great. Fast autofocus, sharp and accurate it was a great decision as a 50mm for my a6300, But i also test it in my A7RII and compare it with my FE 24-70 F4 zeiss. The 28mm is faster (f2.0) so you can have more blurred backgrounds, the sharpness is outstanding even in f/2.0, and great until F/11. Does have a noticeable barrel distortion but that is not so bad for me, because I shoot just in RAW and it is a one button fix. I think that for being cheap to keep sharpness they had to avoid the barrel distortion and some chromatic aberrations fixes. But in the end. A great great lens for the price. As we know the zeiss colors are more rich, but this little gem gets great results too, so if you are a RAW shooter you don't gonna have problems and gonna love this lens. But if you just use it to shoot JPG and not make any post in software maybe the barrel distortion and some chromatic aberrations (less than my Zeiss 85mm F/1.4 or 50mm F/1.4 or even the zeiss A mount 24-70 F/2.8) can be a negative point for you. For me it is jut Perfect!!!, remember that the Sony Zeiss distagon 35mm F/1.4 is big, bulky and heavy, and costs more than three times the 28mm, so depends of your final use, this can be your all around street lens for your APS-C or your full frame lightweight Prime wide angle lens. Great quality Sony cheap prime option!!

[0.5 oz / 14.2 g] I'm a pro video shooter and I chose this Zeiss 50mm, 1.4 over the Sigma ART 50mm, 1.4, and the Veydra 35mm E-mount 2.2. I tested it for a few days against the other two. The Zeiss and the Sigma were about equal for resisting lens flare. I own the Veydra and had seen the flares on occasion and was able to duplicate it in my own testing environment. When the Veydra flared, the other two did not. The Zeiss is manual focus only (like the Veydra) but for video shooting that's all I need. What's more (or less) is the small size of the Zeiss. So easy to carry even in a pocket while running and gunning. The manual focusing of the Zeiss was so smooth and long travelled that I love it. It's mine now!

[Canon RF] I bought several 7 Artisan lenses - this fits the Lumix G95 far better than the 50mm F.095 for infinity / distance shooting. It is remarkably good glass, solid build and light weight. It is certainly sharp at slightly before F2 and onward. I have found it to be a very useful bit of Kit. The two photos show full frame and then a crop of the Moon - at F 8 - 10. It also has very good color rendition. At the price point it is an incredible buy.

[43 mm (Front)] I use this on a GH5 and I'm impressed. Sharpness at f.95 looks very good, especially center of frame. I was using the Canon 1.8 STM 50mm with a Viltrox EF-M2 lens adapter, which allowed me to stop down to f1.3, but the image I was getting was fairly soft. Bought this to replace it, albeit a bit wider than the 50mm (1.6x crop w/ Viltrox) but the image looks much sharper. Was also impressed with the build quality. It's a compact lens but it has some weight to it. Feels very sturdy and aperture and focus rings turn smoothly with clickless aperture. All and all, I would definitely recommend for someone that may be a little skeptical because of the price. Oh yeah, the little case it ships in is a nice touch, too.

[Manual Focus] It's even better than the Leica summilux 50mm 1.4! No need to think, just buy it.

[Canon EF] I took pictures with this lens and the Zeiss Otus 100mm f/1.4 and the pictures I took with this lens were just a sharp!

[58 mm (Front)] Youd think for the price this would have some flaws. At f.1/4 its pretty sharp at f.2 its razor sharp. I did not look at the outer edges of the frames as Im concerned with my subject. Good buy for the price.

New hood works perfectly well with my Sigma 50mm f/1.4 lens.
