[Glass] This lens compliments, and has been a great addition to my line up of one lens! I was behind the Mirror less curve but I jumped it and decided to do it better with the equipment. I had planned to purchase the 180-600 mm lense, but with the delay, I switched my order to the Z 70-200mm f28 VR S, to get my lenses lined up. I shoot wildlife, aircraft, high school sports and landscapes. Basically any thing, I do it for the fun and my hobby. When it arrived, I put it to the test at my neighbor hood pond. I hand held it for almost 2 hours and got some great shots. Weight wasn't an issue at all at the pond and then a soccer game and volleyball game. My grandson and niece were happy with the results along with the families. Being 65 year old now, my plans with my equipment are to enjoy it all, which I am. I'm not a numbers person, I'm giving you a blue collar review. So here it is. The lens is the perfect length and weight and I love the internal zoom. The zoom ring location is different but you get used to it quickly. It's just a Home Run for me and will be for you.

Having a parfocal T2 zoom with no breathing, ability to swap out the rear element to cover VistaVision sensors...this practically lives on our RED Helium. Just be sure to get the FF rear element at time of purchase, as you cannot buy it later on.

[CAT6 Cable] I already had a set of these rear controllers that I used on an HMC150 and my newer PX270, but recently I got a DVX200 and so I needed another set. Depending on the camera, you can get a perfectly smooth very slow zoom. The Panasonic 270 allows me a smoother slow zoom than the DVX200. Not sure why that is. The only downside of this setup is it is easy to bump the focus knob with a stray hand which causes the focus to go radically out of focus, so be careful! Also, if the iris knob is set to the closed position, if you plug in the LANC connectors while recording, the iris will close down until you manually open it back up. I made that mistake on a wedding once.
